It is with great sadness that we remember our friend, colleague and fellow director, Matthew Faulkes, who sadly passed away on 27th May 2026.

Matt was part of Carter Towler for more than 30 years, during which time he made an enormous contribution to our business, our clients and the wider property community.

A highly experienced property professional, Matt built and led our Property Management team, helping it grow into one of the most successful independent teams outside London. His expertise, commercial insight and dedication to achieving the best outcomes for clients were central to that success.

As a director, Matt also played an important role in the leadership and development of Carter Towler. He was hugely respected by colleagues and clients alike, and his knowledge, judgement and generosity made him a valued colleague, mentor and friend.

But beyond his professional achievements, Matt will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, wonderful sense of humour and the genuine friendships he formed throughout his career.

The remarkable number of people who came together to celebrate his life was a fitting testament to the impact he had on so many people, both personally and professionally.

Matt leaves behind a lasting legacy at Carter Towler and across the property community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
