Originally founded in 1948 as part of B P Towler, the company was established through the merger of Towlers and Carter & Co in 2008. Today, our experienced team of 30 professionals manages over 6,500 properties on behalf of approximately 350 clients. Our diverse client base includes major corporations, listed companies, private property firms, national retailers, pension funds, family trusts, and high-net-worth individuals. With a strong reputation for excellence, we have become the largest independent managing agent in the region.

The department has grown through client recommendation and offers a wide range of services, consistently introducing successful strategies that minimise risk and manage liabilities, whilst concentrating on value enhancement and tenant retention.

Efficient and creative asset management solutions are delivered by a team of experienced personnel, assisted by regular, ongoing communication with other Carter Towler departments, particularly Commercial Agency and Building Consultancy, to share ideas, market knowledge and technical expertise.

Carter Towler is proud of its consistently low staff churn rate with many staff having been with the company for most of their careers, enabling effective working relationships and continuity.

The latest client management information systems allow new information to be quickly and efficiently processed, whilst a team of property inspectors are employed to facilitate regular inspections to ensure all managed assets are performing to maximum effect.

The Property Management team manages a variety of commercial properties, from city centre retail and offices, industrial estates, single or multiple units in market and secondary towns through to multi-million-pound national portfolios.

Geographically, properties are spread across most of the UK, including almost every single town and city in the north of England.

Our services include: Rent and credit control, financial compliance, service charge accounting, maintenance, refurbishment and contractor management, asset management and protection, health and safety compliance. Carter Towler is regulated on compliance matters by the RICS.
