Alison is a highly experienced Chartered Building Surveyor with over 15 years industry expertise. As the head of Carter Towler’s Building Services department, she brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her role, having previously held a senior position at a prestigious international commercial property firm.
Additionally, Alison has an academic background as a Senior Lecturer and Course Director at Leeds Beckett University, where she led both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Building Surveying and Facilities Management.
Renowned for her in-depth understanding and practical approach, Alison and her team provide comprehensive advice across the full spectrum of building surveying services. Her expertise covers contract administration, employer’s agent roles, and preparing detailed schedules of condition. She is also highly skilled in building reinstatement insurance valuations and managing complex dilapidations processes – whether defending or preparing final, terminal, and interim schedules for landlords or tenants.
Her team’s services also include building pathology and defect analysis, preventative planned maintenance, technical due diligence surveys, leasehold and freehold survey reports, as well as project monitoring and end-of-defects snagging inspections.
Alison is a highly respected RICS APC Mentor and Assessor, providing invaluable mentoring support to aspiring young surveyors.
