Our industrial agency division has successfully negotiated the sale of Magnet’s former kitchen manufacturing facility on the Shaw Cross Business Park in Dewsbury. Acting on behalf of the property’s owner Nobia Holdings, the 170,000 sq ft property has been sold for £13.6m to pan European investment fund Crossbay.
Commenting on the deal, Josh Holmes said: “We are highly delighted with the progress of this sale to Crossbay, they have astute plans for the future of Shawcross 170. Initially it will be split into two units and fully refurbished to bring the 25-year-old property in line with all the latest environment, social and governance requirements.
“We are confident there will be considerable interest in the 112,000 and 55,000 sq ft units. Mid box logistics units like these continue to be in demand across West Yorkshire – last year was in fact the second best ever year for deals in this category.”
Carter Towler and the Leeds office of Knight Frank will be joint marketing agents for the refurbished units which have direct access to both the M62 (J28) and M1 (J40).
